And for some reason, gogyohka is “recognized” as an “official” type of Japanese poetic form, whereas, gogyoshi isn’t. (and no, I have no idea why). Although similar, very similar, there are subtle differences. I think part of what contributes to the “confusion” is the closeness in names. In my thoughts though, they are both equally fascinating.

and maybe as a few more thoughts of interest here, for your discovery about Gogyoshi:

https://gogyoshiartproject.wordpress.com/2013/11/27/what-is-a-gogyoshi/

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8512327745848627452.post-42956208120951395762018-08-15T11:05:41.322+02:002018-08-15T11:05:41.322+02:00https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2018/08/15...https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2018/08/15/simplicity/Reena Saxenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15179224041268392976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8512327745848627452.post-84373570833999701132018-08-14T19:39:08.884+02:002018-08-14T19:39:08.884+02:00The Gogyohka is a wonderful new form of Japanese p...The Gogyohka is a wonderful new form of Japanese poetry and I am trying this form myself. It's definitely a form I think has wonderful potential.

so thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful week :)
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
