Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is the place to be if you like to write and share haiku, tanka or other Japanese poetry forms such as choka and kikobun. It’s a warmhearted family of haiku poets created by Chèvrefeuille, a Dutch haiku poet. Japanese poetry is the poetry of nature and it gives an impression of a moment as short as the sound of a pebble thrown into water. ++ ALL WORKS PUBLISHED ARE COPYRIGHTED AND THE RIGHTS BELONG TO THE AUTHORS ++ !!! Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
Welcome at a new month of Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. This month, February 2017, we will visit or shall I say go on a pilgrimage in Japan. Japan the land of the Rising Sun, the Mother of Haiku. We will go on a quest through this beautiful country to find the roots of haiku. And I hope you will be part of it.
February has already started so a few prompts we have seen already, and as I said in one of the posts, it is not possible to give you the whole prompt-list, because I create the posts "impromptu" as I sit behind my PC.
So this prompt-list is slightly different with the other lists I mostly use:
1. Japan, the journey begins 2. Honshu "the main island"
3. Edo, ancient Tokyo
4. Samurai 5. Emperor 6. Tea Ceremony 7. Ise Shrine
I will re-create this promptlist during this month.
