Carpe Diem #531, Sweetness

Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

This month looks very promising ... I have read wonderful haiku inspired on the words by Khalil Gibran. Today our prompt is sweetness and I realized yesterday as I was looking for our new episode that this ''sweetness''-prompt came from the same words as those which I used in our '''mist''-prompt, so I had to change my plan, but I would like to use '''sweetness'' so I have found another nice piece of philosophy by Gibran.

[...] "It was but yesterday I thought myself a fragment quivering without rhythm in the sphere of life. Now I know that I am the sphere, and all life in rhythmic fragments moves within me'''. [...]

Isn't that the sweetness of our life? Life is an everlasting sphere, a circle of life. Seasons come and go and we are all part of it. Nature is all around us and we are part of it. We are all children of Mother Earth. She provides us with all we need and her love for us is unconditional.
Haiku, is also called, a poem of nature and I think haiku is nature in all her beauty. We are all haiku-poets and that makes us all keepers of nature. We have to take care of nature. That is our duty. We have to cherish Mother Earth.

Basho and Issa for example enjoyed even the smallest creatures, plants and flowers ... they are an example to us. Look around you, look really close to your environment and become happy as you spot a little flower or insect. We have to cherish them too, because they are also part of nature. They are also children of Mother Earth.

Awesome ... what a wonderful haiku (how immodest) ...

This episode is open for your submissions tonight at 7.00 PM (CET) and will remain open until August 5th at noon (CET). I will (try to) post our new episode, movement, later on. I am looking forward to all your wonderful responses on this post. Have fun ... be inspired and share your haiku with us all here at our Haiku Kai.
