It doesn't really matter why he used 'hate', because it's a nice haiku and the very first he wrote as Basho..Chèvrefeuillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00848986700725789154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8512327745848627452.post-79296759728108088882013-09-29T00:49:14.332+02:002013-09-29T00:49:14.332+02:00Wonderful to know more about Basho and bashoo ......Wonderful to know more about Basho and bashoo ... brudberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12563403553536472377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8512327745848627452.post-42184333440587718092013-09-28T22:44:58.979+02:002013-09-28T22:44:58.979+02:00I've read a lot of biography about Basho. Why would he do that if he hated the banana plant? Plus, upon his return from a time away from his hut, he expressed missing it the plant another haiku. I think Basho was just having a sad spell when he wrote that hate poem. That's my guess. Lollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16526692343815904632noreply@blogger.com
