AI Art and Japanese Poetry #0001 Surreal Face

Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

Welcome at our first episode of a new feature "AI Art and Japanese Poetry". Maybe you remember that I told you a while ago (and in our last episode) that I have started to create AI Art. I love creating AI Art and I love to use it to inspire you to create Haiku, Tanka or another Japanese Poetry Form.

With this new feature I challenge you to create your poetry inspired on an AI Art Work. In this first episode I have a nice AI Artwork for you titled "Surreal Face":

SURREAL FACE

As you can see this AI Artwork shows you a surreal woman's face, I created it a little while ago and got very good responses on it as I shared it to my fellow AI Art artists. I love surrealism and I hope this AI Artwork will inspire you to create your Japanese poetry.

This episode is open now and will close next Sunday (July 6th) at 10 PM (CEST). You find the linking widget below in our Carpe Diem Haiku Kai logo. Have fun!

An Update For You All

Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

It has been a while that I had the opportunity to write a new episode of our wonderful Carpe Diem Haiku Kai, so I love to give you all an update.

According to our Haiku Kai, I hope to restart a weekly episode, on Mondays and a Weekend episode. Why this choice? Well there have been some changes at work that made me a lot more busy and therefore I have less time for our Haiku Kai.

At the moment I am busy with creating a businnessplan for my own art gallery and that takes a lot of time. The preparations for that Art Gallery have started and I hope to open my Art Gallery in Summer 2026.

Next to those changes and activities I also started with writing a new fantasy novel (worktitle: The Sea of Time). This novel will be my third novel and I made the choice to write it directly in English instead of writing it in Dutch and translate afterwards. As you know my English is, in my opinion, very good (for a Dutch guy), but writing a novel directly in English is really something else.

Maybe you have read my last episode and maybe you remember that I create art through AI Art. A lot of AI Art I created already and I love to create those, but I also love to challenge you all to create Haiku, Tanka or another Japanese poetry form inspired on AI Art.

So our next episode will challenge you to create your poetry inspired on AI Art. For that challenge I have chosen the title "AI Art and Japanese poetry". I will start recounting our episodes from "zero", but with hashtag (#) in front of it. For example: #0001 AI Art and Japanese Poetry.

I hope I can inspire you again as I always did. I am glad that I can restart our Haiku Kai and I hope to see you all again here at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai, the place to be to create Japanese poetry.

Your Host,

Chèvrefeuille
