Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
With this month (March) I started to "re-organize" Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. I am only posting on weekdays and the weekends I use to recover and to meditate and contemplate about the next moves here at CDHK.
I love to hear from you how you think about this new "re-organized" CDHK, more for my own health maybe, but I can understand that several of you are missing the daily posts. So please let me know.
The submissions time for the Cherry Blossom kukai has closed last week, so I am busy with the gathering of the haiku. I will publish them for judging after the weekend.
Than a last question I have: Do you have ideas for the prompts here at CDHK? Please let me know.
To conclude this CD-Extra I love to announce our CDHK Summer Retreat 2017. Of course not yet, but I have "set" the date. The CDHK Summer Retreat 2017 Unconditional Love starts April 15th 10.00 PM (CET) and will run until May 15th 10.00 PM (CET). 30 Days of writing haiku or tanka once a day themed unconditional love. I am looking forward to this new Summer Retreat and I hope you will too.

Have a great weekend ...
Namaste,
Chèvrefeuille, your host
Thanks for the warm-hearted request. What I really like about the formula is the 2 days given yo think over and plan the haiku or tanka over the weekend. I enjoy very much all the prompts and themes and kukai very much, and the nature in which you present them. Sometimes I do think people ought to comment more on your pages. Soon I will be opening a haiku café which I will align with CDHK so I really hope will be bringing some more people and think we could all try to get friends involved with CDHK.
ReplyDeleteWhen I look back on what you have achieved I am amazed. I have really enjoyed everything very much. I this k CDHK just gets better and better.
I think it is a fine idea to revisit some roads we have been on, such as Coelho's pilgrimage, and an fascinated by these "journeys" and themes. To be honest you have worked so hard on CDHK and fine-tuned it so well that it is hard to think of any way it could be improved. I certainly would not like it to stop!
So a big hearty thanks for doing CDHK. Hopefully I can get this café started and link to CDHK.
Thanks my friend for your kind loving words.
DeleteBeautiful haiku, Kristjann.

Looking forward to the love fest:)
a 30 day Summer retreat.
Thanks Cressida.
DeleteI love writing Haiku, but persons busy with house chores like me would prefer weekly prompts. All your topics are alluring.
ReplyDeleteThank you for responding. I will give it a thought. Maybe I can create a weekly feature.
DeleteI am very grateful for all the hard work you do here Kristjaan. For me personally, when you post five days per week, especially when you are running a 30-day retreat at the same time, is more than enough and I will not be able to participate in everything anyway. If it helps you to reduce it to three or four posts a week and give us more time to respond, that would work for me too. You give so much of yourself here and I would not want it to cause you any stress - life's too short for all that xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Xenia it is a joy to make cdhk and as it goes now I like it a lot.Gives me a kind of peace.
DeleteThank you for hosting us in your Carpe Diem circle of love Kristjaan. Have a nice weekend
ReplyDeletemuch love...
Have great weekend too Gillena.
DeleteYou are doing an awesome work and input Kristjaan! I do admire your work a lot and it is so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteMy wish is .... you find the balance that's most healthy for you in your life ... that is more than 'good enough' for me :)
Namaste - Birgitta
I feel the love here and I am glad with the choices I have made.
DeleteYou have done amazingly well here in bringing inspiration while attending to themes and retreats and so on. I have only known you and Carpe Diem for several months. I was attracted by the spirit of this place, the love of haiku, tanka and friendly atmosphere. I hosted groups before and it is a whole lot of work and a real challenge to keep others interested and inspired.
ReplyDeleteWhat is most important is you Kristjaan, your health, family and peace of mind. Spiritually if you sing along in your heart when you do it all and find it keeps you motivated then you are not pushing the river. But.....giving to your own needs is a must, priority before all else so you can continue to sing within your heart.
To answer the question of what I improvements etc....I can't see any as it is more than enough what you give to us all. It is a bit too much for me to participate everyday so I come as I can because I love the contact here. Sorry for the longgggg winded post. Namaste
Thank you for your loving and uplifting comment. Thank you for being here at cdhk. It is my goal to give all I can to inspire you.

You mentioned interedting possible prompts. One could be "sacred mountains" or "sacred places."
ReplyDeleteDearest Kristjaan,
ReplyDeleteFor me personally your work has taught me so very much. I had no idea what a haiku was when I first began following your blog. Where I am today is because of you and the other long term participants in CDHK. Your prompts keep me going as a pace that suits my capabilities. I agree with Hamish that you have done a fabulous job. Always pushing us further, teaching us more and giving so much. I am very glad you have cut back as you need to take care of yourself first. Namaste. Janice
