Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
Today our prompt is tears a sad prompt or a happy prompt. Tears we can shed through sadness or through happiness. It's all up to you.
weeping willow
sheds his tears on the last summer day
leaves turning yellow
leaves turning yellow
in the bright sunlight
a golden tree
a golden tree
autumn has come, tears fall

A lovely cascading set of haiku I think. It brings happy memories to me. As I see the weeping willow turn into a golden tree my eyes begin to twinkle. It looks so gorgeous. Ah! Autumn what a season.
This prompt will stay on 'till October 26th 11.59 AM (CET). The prompt for our next Carpe Diem will be laughter, the opposite of tears, and I will publish it today around 10.00 PM (CET).
Have fun, be inspired and share your haiku and comments with us.
By the way ... I hope you like our new lay-out ... it's autumn so I have given our weblog an autumn-jacket.
I think we have wept enough for today...
ReplyDeleteTomorrow we'll laugh!
I also feel a special affection to weeping willows for one I liked under my window was cut down to get rid of wasps, my poor tree!
Evocative trio of haiku missing summer.
I live close to a city parc with big pond. Along the pond stand a few Weeping Willows .... they look great with their yellow leaves ... looking like golden if the sun shines on them. They bring a smile on my face and maybe tomorrow a big laugh.
DeleteThank you so much for your every day posts here on Carpe Diem.
Namaste
I think weeping willows are so lovely in any season - the swaying limbs touch the earth and my soul....
ReplyDeleteThey are for sure lovely in any season. When their limbs sway in the wind the feel like a warm embrace.
Deletelovely metaphoric take on the prompt
ReplyDeleteThe weeping trees and shrubs are among my favorites but I like to think they weep for joy!
