Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
'Still Life' ... I love them those great paintings. They are so colorful and it is a joy to watch them. Well ... today our prompt is 'still life' and I will try to paint with words a still life. I hope I will succeed.

listening to the Spring breeze
through bamboo leaves
an apple falls
between colored leaves -
drizzling rain
I thought that there were only painted still lives, but when I was searching for pictures of still lives I ran into a digital still life. A very strong still life, well balanced ... look for yourself.

OK ... a last one. This is a very nice still life ... it's simple and through that simpleness it's (in my opinion) a masterpiece.

Well ... this was our prompt 'still life' for today. I hope you liked it. I certainly enjoyed writing these 'haiku still lives'.
This prompt will stay on 'till November 15th 11.59 AM (CET) and our new prompt 'fire' provided by Dulcina of Dulcina's Garden I will post today around 10.00 PM (CET).
Enjoy writing your haiku and share them with us.
Wow! Wonderful set of haiku ~ I think I like the first one best something about silence and bamboo leaves 'speak to me' ~ All of them are wonderful ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
ReplyDeleteHello, Kristjaan, this is a wonderful prompt! Your first set of haiku is my favorite, so lovely. I'm working on a still life haiga. Can your link stay open for a couple of days? It would be helpful for those of us who don't post every day to be able to link later and not miss the opportunity to read and share. What do you think about this suggestion? Have a wonderful day :)
ReplyDeleteYou have succeeded, Kristjaan!
ReplyDeleteA classical still life, a digital and a modern one, all very beautiful, and your three haiku are delicious.
I specially like the drizzling rain of the first, the whole third - I love tea and lemon - and I was very surprised with that rifle among flowers, wine and cheese (maybe to frighten off greedy visitors!) Not a still life if the rifle shoots!
:)
Lovely prompt :)
ReplyDeleteand you really brought the pictures alive by the words :D
I can see the similarities of a haiku and that of a still life painting.....a static moment in time.....you always make it look easy...
ReplyDeleteHi Kristjaan, thank you for keeping the link open a little longer. I really enjoyed this prompt and your haiku--drizzling rain, bamboo leaves--awesome! I linked and I hope you enjoy my still life haiga. Have a great day! :)
