Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
Welcome at a new episode of our 6th anniversary month of Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. Here at CDHK we are always busy with haiku in English, but today I have another nice challenge for you. We have arrived at the letter F and to use this letter I have chosen to introduce to you a few haiku in French.
Here are a few examples of haiku in French:
au milieu du cimetière
mon amie et moi

Look at this haiku it flows like a lovely river, maybe that's the beauty of the French language, because the French are wonderful. years ago as I was a young guy on highschool I had a wonderful teacher for French. She was awesome and she had the power to teach me and my classmates the French language. I loved her lessons.
let me give you the English translation of the above haiku by Angèle Lux:
in the middle of the cemetery
my friend and I

une mouche espiègle se joue
des mâchoires du chien
a mischievous fly is played

Dans mon jardin
la plante d’une amie chère
qui s’accroche à la vie
In my garden

who clings to life

Another (last) French haiku about Spring:
son parapluie à mon bras
his umbrella on my arm

What is your (our) task for today? Well I love to challenge you to create haiku in another language than you are doing mostly here at CDHK for example: are you from Poland, please share a haiku in Polish (of course if possible with an English translation)
I am living in The Netherlands so here is a haiku in Dutch:
een laatste blad valt
de eerste sneeuw
a last leaf falls
the first snow
A wonderful task I think. Enjoy!
This episode is open for your submissions tonight at 7:00 PM (CEST) and will remain open until October 11th at noon (CEST). I will try to publish our new episode, the first weekend meditation, later on. For now ... have fun!
PS.: I hope to publish the Troiku Kukai 2nd edition judging later this week.
