Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge #69, Sky's "trail of secret"

Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

Time flies ... we already passed the first half of January. Life goes well and is back on track after the holidays and it's Friday .... that means ... a new Tan Renga Challenge and I have one for you, a gorgeous one I think.
This week's Tan Renga starts with a haiku by Sky which she wrote in response on the prompt "Last Year" and which she published on her new Wordpress weblog "Prints in the Sky" and this "hokku" refers to that sky I think. Here it is:

trail of secret
woven into the clear sky
~ first spiritual journey

© Sky

The goal of this Tan Renga Challenge is to write/compose the second stanza (7-7) towards the first stanza by associating on themes in the first stanza (or "hokku"). You don't need to follow the classical 7-7 syllables-count, but if you want to ... feel free ...

Here is my attempt to complete/continue the Tan Renga:

trail of secret
woven into the clear sky
~ first spiritual journey
                      (© Sky)

deep inside the Honeysuckle
hides the knowledge of Self                    (© Chèvrefeuille)

I have tried to "built" on "secret", "clear sky" and "spiritual journey". Honeysuckle (my penname translated to English) has a deeper meaning ... it's the quest for deeper knowledge and the Inner Self. I think I have touched that idea ...

This episode of our Tan Renga Challenge is NOW OPEN for your submissions and will remain open until January 23rd at noon (CET). Have fun ...!

  1. Thank you for this honor, Kristjaan. Your stanza explained the essence and went exactly as I would. Wonderful!
