Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is the place to be if you like to write and share Japanese poetry forms like haiku and tanka. It’s a warmhearted family of haiku poets created by Chèvrefeuille, a Dutch haiku poet. Japanese poetry is the poetry of nature and it gives an impression of a moment as short as the sound of a pebble thrown into water. ++ ALL WORKS PUBLISHED ARE COPYRIGHTED AND THE RIGHTS BELONG TO THE AUTHORS ++ !!! Carpe Diem #45, fire
Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
Thank you for your daily contribution to Carpe Diem. It's a joy to read your posts every day. It's making me happy and sets my heart in fire. It feels great to read your post on the given prompts Today our prompt is 'fire' and it was provided by Dulcina of Dulcina's Garden Thank you Dulcina for this wonderful prompt.
Fire ... what tose it mean? It can be a real fire, burning down houses or woods, but it also is a strong emotion ... fire can mean a real deep love for another being, fire can mean enthusiasm or spiritual fire ... believing in a strong force.
on the square
a fire breather shows of
his dangerous skills
she ... the full moon
sets my heart on fire
behind the curtain
there he stood
the preacher of our church
full of Jesus' fire
composing haiku
sets my heart on fire every day
writing little gems
eyes of fire
when I read and write haiku
I feel like Basho
I hope you enjoyed the read. Not a strong set I think, but they are all written with fire in my heart and soul ... haiku ... my fire.
This prompt will stay on 'till November 16th 11.59 AM (CET) and I will post the prompt 'jade' given by Bjorn Brudberg, today around 10.00 PM (CET).
Be inspired, let your fire burn and be creative ... share your haiku with Carpe Diem.
