Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is the place to be if you like to write and share Japanese poetry forms like haiku and tanka. It’s a warmhearted family of haiku poets created by Chèvrefeuille, a Dutch haiku poet. Japanese poetry is the poetry of nature and it gives an impression of a moment as short as the sound of a pebble thrown into water. ++ ALL WORKS PUBLISHED ARE COPYRIGHTED AND THE RIGHTS BELONG TO THE AUTHORS ++ !!! Fantastic work Chevrefeuille for your ebook - that is the wat to go, for sure. Jane's book is a real marvel. Very engaging, and what a great line: ''before you can write haiku, you beed to be able to read haiku.''...!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you for making these available to us! :)
ReplyDeleteWanted to thank you again for these resources -- and also for pointing us to so many wonderful haiku poets. You'd mentioned Richard Wright recently and I was intrigued enough to purchase the book of his haiku -- it arrived finally -- and wow. A gem on every page:
ReplyDeleteI am nobody:
A red sinking autumn sun
Took my name away.
O finicky cat,
Forgive me for this spring rain
That disgusts you so!
A soft wind at dawn
Lifts one dry leaf and lays it
Upon another.
In the falling snow
A laughing boy holds out his palms
Until they are white.
A cow is licking
With long slow strokes of her tongue,
Spring rain from her thigh.
Just. Wow.
So, with your recommendations and with these three new e-books -- well, it's a wonder I'm not pacing through the house clutching my head and moaning like a madman in ecstasy - a la Kerouac!
