Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is the place to be if you like to write and share Japanese poetry forms like haiku and tanka. It’s a warmhearted family of haiku poets created by Chèvrefeuille, a Dutch haiku poet. Japanese poetry is the poetry of nature and it gives an impression of a moment as short as the sound of a pebble thrown into water. ++ ALL WORKS PUBLISHED ARE COPYRIGHTED AND THE RIGHTS BELONG TO THE AUTHORS ++ !!! Carpe Diem Extra October 2014
Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
I need some help. As you all know Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is a weblog which uses Google's blogspot. I am very happy with blogspot, because it's easy to use, but ... I have a question for you all.
Jane Reichhold has given us the exclusive rights for two E-Books, I love to share them here and make it possible to download them, but I don't know how to do that. Can someone help me?
Namaste,
Chèvrefeuille, your host.
PS. I will publish our new episode "Sparkling Stars" later today.

ReplyDeleteAnd this is what you'd have to do if you want to embed a PDF file: http://www.mybloggerlab.com/2013/03/how-to-embed-pdf-and-other-documents-in-blogger-posts.html
Hope this is helpful.
I hope you get the help you need. I pretty much only have blogspot to help me make comments. And I'm not all that skilled with WP either. I know that I have had books downloaded via e-mail. But I'm not sure how it is done via a blog. So short of e-mailing the downloads to your mailing list... Good Luck.
ReplyDeleteThe explanation might be better in an e-mail, just because it may take up quite a bit of space. But I bet it would be helpful to those who do understand computer language. I have trouble with explanations and computer stuff because I just don't know what all the terms mean. Kind of like a car mechanic. If you don't know what a spanner wrench is, it is kind of hard to find it in the tool box. Again, good luck with this - and Thanks to Jane Reichhold for her gracious generosity.
There is a great deal of Jane's work on the following web: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Opies-poetry-friends/530846836971195?hc_location=timeline
ReplyDeletewhoops! Wrong address....Here is the right address for aha haiku (Jane's web):
Deletehttp://www.ahapoetry.com/index.html
I think it might be best to put into pdf format then link - will just ask Esethe best way to do that.
ReplyDeleteKristjaan, what format are the ebooks in? Are they in epub?
ReplyDeleteThe ebooks are in mobi and epub available ...
ReplyDeleteI have never done that... maybe the easiest way is just to email them... We can set up a locked google-group to share that..
ReplyDeleteWow --- Jane's offer is wonderful news for all of us! :D
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew how to help out but sadly I haven't done much of anything on blogger at all.
If Georgia's advice on how to add PDF files to blogger works out, you can use Calibre to convert the book into PDF format. http://calibre-ebook.com/
I wonder if you could put both versions on a post and we could download it. I use e-pub or Bjorn's idea seems the most accessible.
