A new Wednesday is almost there, so it's time for a new Tokubetsudesu episode here at our Haiku Kai.
This month I don't have specific ideas for these Tokubetsudesu episodes so it's every week even to me a surprise what will be the prompt or theme.
Maybe you remember that we have had several special features here at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai and this week I love to bring such a special feature back to your attention, because ... I think I will make a whole new month of CDHK with quotes as prompt.
This special feature is titled "Use That Quote" and the goal is to create / compose a haiku (or tanka or another Japanese poetry form) inspired on the quote given.

For this week's episode of Tokubetsudesu themed "Use That Quote" I have a nice quote for you by the Dalai Lama. A real nice quote which gives you a lot of space to create haiku (or tanka).
Here is the quote by the 14th Dalai Lama for your inspiration:
|the 14th Dalai Lama (real name: Tenzin Gyatso)|
cherry blossoms bloom again -
spring is near
the glint of polished pebbles
in the crystal brook
the faint reflection of the sunset
the sound of the wind
one single candle shines its light
towards the world
I sit down on the porch
smelling the fresh air
This episode is NOW OPEN for your submissions and will remain open until March 11th at noon (CET). I will try to publish our new episode, a new CD Special, later on.
