Carpe Diem's Tan Renga Challenge #6, Buson's "In the stillness"

Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

Another week has gone by and it's already time for a new Tan Renga Challenge. Today I have chosen a nice haiku written by Buson (1716-1784), one of the four greatest haiku masters ever.

Credits: Peonies

The Challenge is to complete the Tan Renga. A Tan Renga has two stanza and is written by two haiku poets. The first gives the first stanza (5-7-5) and the second reacts on the haiku by writing a two line stanza (7-7). As you post your completion of the Tan Renga ... please copy and paste the first stanza into your post and enclose your second stanza. By the way: don't be afraid to diverge from the syllables count. Feel free and share your feeling.

This Tan Renga Challenge will stay on 'til July 19th 11.59 AM (CET) and around that same time I will (try to) post our new Tan Renga Challenge. Have fun, be inspired and share your completed Tan Renga with us all here on Carpe Diem.
