Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
I love to share a new Tan Renga Challenge with you all. This week I have chosen a haiku written by Cathy Tenzo of Haiku Plate Special. It is a very recent haiku ... on our prompt for today "shell".
The goal of this Tan Renga Challenge is to complete the Tan Renga (shart chained poem) started with the haiku by Cathy. To complete the Tan Renga you have to write the second stanza (7-7) by inspiration of the first stanza (the haiku; 5-7-5).
Copy and paste the first stanza into your post and enclose your second stanza to it. Here is the first stanza of this new Tan Renga Challenge:
first stanza (5-7-5):
life from the sea
shipwrecked on the sand
so many shells (Cathy Tenzo)
second stanza (7-7):
???????????????????
???????????????????
My completed Tan Renga:
life from the sea
shipwrecked on the sand
so many shells (Cathy Tenzo)
fragile sandcastle built
the roof shimmers in the sun (Chèvrefeuille, your host)
Well have fun and make the Tan Renga complete. This Tan Renga Challenge will stay open 'till October 18th 11.59 AM (CET) and I will post our new Tan Renga Challenge later on that day.
!! Now open for your submissions !!
Share your completed Tan Renga with our Haiku Kai.
