Carpe Diem #1401 Easter

Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,

Welcome at the first regular episode of our wonderful Kai of April 2018. This month we are focusing on haibun ... so ... go and tell your story.

Today (April 1st) it is Easter. Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Savior, but more common it's a celebration of  new life, spring. Nature awakens from her hibernation and shows how after a dark period the light will come back. Of course on the Southern Hemisphere autumn starts, so on the other side of the globe nature is going into hibernation, but as you know ... I am living on the Northern hemisphere and here we see that nature is coming alive again.

Today's theme, Easter, is a joyfull theme, but for this first regular episode of April 2018 I love to challenge you to create a haibun with a maximum of 250 words (including the poetry).

I am looking forward to all of your stories inspired on Easter.

Easter, the Lord has Risen
This episode is open for your submissions tonight at 7:00 PM (CEST) and will remain open until April 8th at noon (CEST). I will try to publish our new episode, Daffodils, later on. For now ... have fun!
